About Us

The Bioinformatics Group at BTI leverages on Bioinformatics to provide full data mining capabilities and a greater depth of analysis on information from genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic and metabolomic studies.

The central task of Bioinformatics group is to comprehensively collect global cellular information, e.g., omics-data, and to combine such information with that pertaining to complex biological processes and systems, such as metabolic, signaling and regulatory networks.

Leverages on Bioinformatics to provide full data mining capabilities and a greater depth of analysis.

This renders it possible to generate predictive computational models of biological processes. Thus, our main research interests are in the application of systems methodologies to understanding and designing biological processes on a global scale.

This work is carried out by resorting to a variety of modeling, control and optimization techniques of systems engineering in conjunction with high-throughput x-omic analysis under an integrated bioinformatic platform and environment.
